Willmar's Ali, Smith honored by CLC

Two Willmar student athletes were recognized this week for outstanding performances in their respective sports:

Badal Ali, boys soccer: The junior center-midfielder scored four goals and also had two assists in a span of three games last week.

Jordan Smith, football: The wide receiver/free safety caught eight passes for 111 yards and accounted for all 24 of Willmar's points on two touchdown receptions, an interception return for a touchdown, two extra-points kicks and a 26-yard field goal in a win over Sartell. He finished with four interceptions in the game.
