Willmar's Donoho named AA All-State
WILLMAR -- Chloe Donohoe of Willmar became the first girls soccer player from Willmar to be named All-State at a banquet this past weekend.
Donoho, a senior and six-year letterwinner for the Cardinals, had 18 goals and seven assists this season for the Cardinals, who finished the season with a 9-9-1 record.
She was one of 24 Class AA players to be recognized as All-State out of 2,400 players across the state. There were also 24 AA players that were chosen honorable mention.
"In the time I've kown Chloe, she has demonstrated outstanding moral character, discipline and skills in soccer to take her all the way in the sport," said Willmar coach," said Willmar coach Chelsey Brown. She is very deserving of the honor of all-state."
Donoho is also an outstanding student, currently maintaining a 4.014 grade-point-average.
