Mahad Hassan, a senior, placed first at the 20-team Apple Valley Cross Country Invitational on Saturday in a time of 16:18 for 5,000 meters.

Beth Pollock, a senior, improved by 35 points with a season-best 208 points to win diving in the swim meet with Sauk Rapids on Thursday.
