There is also a wind chill advisory for most of the rest of Minnesota, the Dakotas, portions of Nebraska and Iowa.

Wind chill readings are expected to dip to 35 to 45 degrees below zero in the warned area and from 25 to 35 below zero in the advisory area as artic air flows in from the northwest with winds of 10 to 20 mph.

The NWS reminds that a wind chill warning means there is a combination of very cold are and strong winds, which can result in frostbite and lead to hypothermia or death if proper precautions aren’t taken.
