Winter storm forecast to bring 6-9 inches, snarl travel by Wednesday

WILLMAR -- Welcome to winter in Minnesota. Travel will become difficult tonight and dangerous on Wednesday, the National Weather Service warns, as a winter storm is forecast to bring from 6 to 9 inches of snow to central Minnesota.

The Weather Service says near blizzard conditions will occur Wednesday across western Minnesota and along the Minnesota River Valley. The Wednesday morning and afternoon commutes are expected to be greatly impacted.
