WILLMAR — A winter weather travel advisory is in effect for west central Minnesota beginning at 3 p.m. today and continuing until 3 a.m. Monday.

Accumulating snow will make travel difficult in Kandiyohi and neighboring counties in West Central Minnesota, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Department.

The snow is expected to begin falling in the late afternoon and continue into the night. Snowfall amounts of two to four inches are possible, with up to five inches possible in local areas.

Roads will be snow covered and slippery, and motorists may experience limited visibility. Motorists are urged to use caution and anticipate a slippery commute to work in the morning.
