Cameron John Waters faces two first-degree felony charges in Kandiyohi County District Court. Unconditional bail was set at $100,000. No conditional bail was allowed. His next appearance is Sept. 14.

According to the complaint, a Kandiyohi County sheriff's deputy was called May 9 to a Lake Lillian residence regarding a sexual assault. A man there said that Waters had visited their home for a week in April. A 6-year-old girl had told a parent that Waters had sexually assaulted her and an 8-year-old girl and then threatened them that if they told their parents they wouldn't be allowed to play with any of their toys. A detective and social worker later interviewed the girls, who related the same information.

A Monroe County, Wis., sheriff's detective later interviewed Waters, who allegedly admitted assaulting both of the girls.
