Women's basketball: Henrickson's Jayhawks end skid to in-state rival

No. 20 Kansas dumped Kansas State 72-63 on Wednesday in the Sunflower Showdown at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence. The KU win snapped a four-game losing streak to its in-state rival and helped the Jayhawks, coached by Willmar native Bonnie Henrickson, to open Big 12 Conference play with a win for the second-straight season.
The win improved Kansas to 10-2 overall, while Kansas State falls to 9-4 on the season and 0-1 in league action. The Jayhawks play at West Virginia on Saturday, also a Big 12 contest.
