Women's basketball: Injury ends Wollin’s career at St. Bens
Jamie Wollin, College of St. Benedict senior wing, starter and captain, suffered an ACL injury Jan. 23 vs. Macalester that has ended the Litchfield native’s college career.
Wollin averaging 5.9 ppg, 5.1 rpg with 21 steals and 14 three-pointers. She played in 79 games in a four-year career and led the Blazers in rebounds as a junior.
The Blazers (13-3 MIAC, 17-4) are riding a 7-game win streak putting them a game behind first-place Concordia (14-2, 15-4), which tipped St. Olaf 65-58 Wednesday with Willmar product Alexandra Lippert contributing 8 points and 7 rebounds.
