WORTHINGTON -- The Ridgewater women's basketball team played a strong first half against Minnesota West but ran out of gas in the second and lost 74-52 in an MCAC Southern Division game on Saturday.

"It's typical of our year," said Ridgewater head coach Carrie Ogdahl. "We have a great first half and lose by 20. We don't have enough power."

The Warriors fell to 2-6 in the Southern Division race and 5-16 overall. They play Riverland in Austin on Wednesday.

Minnesota West led 34-32 at halftime but then outscored the Warriors 40-20 in the second half.

Shantel Kelly led the Warriors with 17 points and Annie Winter hit five 3-point shots and finished with 15 points. Alicia Koenen hit Ridgewater's other three 3-point shots and also scored 15.
