Western Tech scored 23 points off Warriors turnovers, by far the key stat in a game they led by two at halftime.

The Warriors are in third place at 6-4 in the MCAC Southern Division, a game up on 5-5 Western Tech.

The top four teams in the division qualify for the postseason but the fourth place team must contend with a play-in game against Fox Valley (Wis.).

Ridgewater plays Anoka-Ramsey and Fergus Falls to end the regular season while WT finishes with Riverland and Anoka-Ramsey.

“We definitely had chances but we didn’t shoot well,” said Ridgewater head coach Carrie Ogdahl. “We’re still in the driver’s seat (for third place) but we made it a lot more interesting.”

Jessie Kalenberg led the Warriors with 13 points and Raeann Sorenson had 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists.

Rachel Ampe finished with 8 points and 9 boards. Sorenson and Ampe both blocked a pair of shots.

The Warriors travel to Anoka-Ramsey on Wednesday before closing out the regular season Saturday at home against Fergus Falls.
