Women's Basketball: Warriors earn 10th win after routing Itasca

GRAND RAPIDS — The Ridgewater women’s basketball team improved to 10-2 with its second win in the Itasca tournament on Saturday.

Jessica Kalenberg scored 22 points and added 6 rebounds and 5 assistss in the Warriors’ 69-47 victory over Itasca.

After a Wednesday home game against the Bethel junior varsity, the Warriors open the MCAC South Division schedule at Rochester on Saturday.

“It’s exciting (being 10-2) but now we get to the tough stuff,” Warriors head coach Carrie Ogdahl said. “I told the girls they’re going to see a more intense coach from here on. It gets a lot tougher when the conference starts.”

On Saturday, Cameo McNeley had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Courtney Kramer scored 16 points.

Lynsey Runke had 8 points, 6 boards, 5 assists and 4 steals.
