The Warriors, who improved to 5-1 overall, fired off 71 shots and made only 27 (38 percent), but Itasca connected on only 21 field goals. The teams were whistled for 39 fouls and were a combined 33-for-61 at the free throw line.

Kramer, a sophomore wing, was 9 of 16 from the field and made 3 of 4 free throw attempts. Raeann Sorenson, another sophomore wing, added 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 steals.

“Courtney shot the lights out and Raeann was all over the floor,” said Ridgewater coach Carrie Ogdahl. “We basically went off those two.”

Freshman post Rachel Ampe added 12 points and freshman guard Brooke Wuertz chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals for Ridgewater.

Brenda Brown piled up game-high totals of 24 points and 11 rebounds to pace the Vikings (2-6).
