Women's basketball: Warriors top Rochester

ROCHESTER — Ridgewater continued to work new players into its lineup and also continued to win.
The Warriors won their 11th game of the season and opened the MCAC season with a 57-45 victory over Rochester on Saturday.
“We’re not our normal selves that we were the first part of the season but that’s too be expected with three new players,” said Warriors head coach Carrie Ogdahl.
The Warriors led by as many as 20 in the second half, then recovered when Rochester cut the margin to five points.
“The good thing about this team,” Ogdahl said, “is that when it gets to crunch time somebody hits a big shot or something.”
Jessica Kalenberg hit three 3-pointers and scored 15 points, and she also had 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Lynsey Runke had 5 points, 9 boards and 7 assists.
The Warriors play Minnesota West in Worthington on Wednesday.
