Workers smell smoke, but no fire found in downtown Willmar buildings

WILLMAR - Willmar fire fighters checked out the roofs of the Centre Point Mall and Heritage buildings in the downtown after workers reported smelling smoke in the Heritage building sometime before 10 a.m. today.

No fire was found, and initial speculation focused on the possibility of an over-heated ballast in a lighting system.
