World Series: Boston ties series at 2-2

ST. LOUIS — With one swing, Jonny Gomes made the World Series a best-of-three.

Gomes’ three-run homer off reliever Seth Maness in the sixth inning Sunday night snapped a 1-1 deadlock and lifted the Boston Red Sox to a 4-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 4, tying the series at two games apiece.
