Wrestling: KMS clubs YME, 54-10

KERKHOVEN -- Two early pins set the tone for Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg as the Fighting Saints stymied Yellow Medicine East 54-10 in a non-conference dual Thursday.

Kurt Timmons at 103 pounds and Tyler Carlson at 112 opened with back-to-back pins to give KMS (13-1) a quick 12-0 lead. Austen Cole at 119 and Logan Johnson at 130 recorded decisions for YME to cut KMS' lead to 15-7, but the Fighting Saints then won eight of the final nine matches to pull away.

Also earning pins for KMS was Aaron Doraska at 135 and Kevin Steinhaus at 160. YME forfeited at 171, 189 and 285.
