Wrestling: Osakis finishes off Minnewaska, 43-21

GLENWOOD -- Osakis finished off Minnewaska Tuesday, 43-21, after the non-conference wrestling dual originally scheduled for Jan. 22 was postponed due to a power failure and inclement weather.

Osakis was leading the Lakers 33-15 when the lights went out in the Minnewaska Area High School gymnasium during the 160-pound match on Friday, Jan. 22. Both head coaches agreed to resume the match at a later date.

When the match resumed on Tuesday the Silverstreaks won at 160, 171 and 285 to seal the win.

Jacob Braaten at 112 and Grant Winter at 125 collected the lone pins for Minnewaska. Cam Schafer at 140, Brandon Manderschied at 189 and Nate Snider at 215 won decisions for the Lakers.
