Yellow Medicine County defendant, 21, to serve 60 months

GRANITE FALLS -- A defendant with a criminal history including an aggravated robbery conviction will be serving 60 months in prison after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Charles Adam Howell, 21, of Granite Falls, received the sentence during a hearing June 29, the Yellow Medicine County attorney's office reported.

Howell was originally charged for an incident March 16, 2009, according to prosecutor Mark Gruman with the county attorney's office.
