YME teacher finalist in Fox 9 online contest

GRANITE FALLS — Yellow Medicine East is supporting one of their own by voting online for staff member Denine Rutledge.

She has been selected as one of the five finalists in the KMSP FOX 9 Top Teacher Award for 2014.

Riley Sexton, community coordinator/producer with the station, notified the school that Rutledge will be part of the online voting campaign running through Friday.

One winner from this group of finalists will be part of this year’s FOX 9 Top Teacher Winners.

Voting continues until midnight on March 21.

Voters can cast their choice at facebook.com/fox9kmsp under the contest tab, or by clicking on the link in the status update.

Rutledge, a tutor with the school, is a finalist with Paul Swanson, band, Chanhassen; Jay Dornfeld, physics, Robbinsdale Armstrong High School; Cheryl Torborg, math, Visitation in Mendota Heights.
