Young professional program in Willmar looking for community mentors

A new neXt program will give young professionals a chance to learn from and network with four leaders from the Willmar community.

The 2013-14 neXt Mentorship Program will begin in October and go through January. At each of the four sessions, one mentor will meet with eight neXt members to share information about their business and help the neXt members gain personal and professional development concepts.

The neXt group is currently looking for four mentors from the community to participate in the program.

For more information on becoming a mentor, contact Ken Warner, Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce president, at or 320-231-0272, or Jenna Chapin, neXt Leadership Team member, at or 320-235-4448.

The goal of the mentorship program is to promote neXt members’ personal and professional development through discussion about core strengths and ideas of community leaders in the Willmar area. The program will conclude with a wrap-up breakfast in February, where all four mentors will share their experiences with the entire neXt group.

NeXt is a local organization formed to attract and retain young talent in the community while developing the next generation of leaders. Focused on individuals under 40, the group uses social activities and structured educational opportunities to help young employees network, expand their client base, learn new skills and find leadership opportunities.

NeXt is an affiliate of the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.
