MAYNARD -- Zola Jane Lighter, 88, of Maynard, died Monday at Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Maynard Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and prior to services at the church.
She was born June 30, 1920, to Charles and Laura (Sanderson) Schaller. She graduated from Maynard High School.
She married Raymond Lighter on Dec. 1, 1940, in Maynard. They farmed near Maynard for many years and she worked at MTI in Montevideo. She moved into Luther Haven Nursing Home three months ago. She was a member of Maynard Presbyterian Church, Maynard Lions Club, Flying Geese Quilters, Prairie Five Board, and TOPS. She sold her handiwork at craft shows all over the area.
She is survived by three children: Jean (and Rick) Kraus of Lakeville, Dale (and Bev) Lighter of Minnetonka and Nancy (and Tom) Johnson of Maynard; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jesse Schaller and Odell Schaller.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987, one sister and two brothers.
