NEW LONDON -- The Little Theatre presents "I Do! I Do!" with books and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt.

The story of a marriage is at the heart of this intimate and nostalgic work. The show begins with Agnes, played by Nikki Bettcher Erickson, and Michael, played by Timothy Ostby, on their wedding day and traces their life together over a period of 50 years, until the day they leave their house to the next pair of newlyweds.

In that time we watch them go through wedding-night jitters, raise a family, negotiate mid-life crises, quarrel, separate, reconcile and grow old together, all lovingly to the strains of a tuneful, charming score.

It is directed by Mark J. Monfils, with Michelle Gralish as the assistant director/stage manager. Choreography is by Nicole Dyson, technical director is Christopher McAninch and assistant technical director is Eric Harp. Costumes are by Becky West, Ginny Lief and Jacki Orson, and Sandy Erickson and Paulette Wanhella took care of props.

The play runs tonight through Saturday and June 23-26, with show time at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance at 3 p.m. on June 27. Tickets are $14 for adults and $7 for students under 18 and are available at or call 320-354-2559 and leave name, number of tickets wanted and callback number.
