The Choir

"The Choir" has been performing Christmas and Easter Cantatas for the last seven to eight years. The group includes singers from First Reformed Church, United Methodist Church and Christian Reformed Church of Willmar.

Tracy Ronning

Tracy Ronning sang her first solo in church at the age of 4. But Ronning revealed, "I don't think humming as a baby while I ate in my high chair counts." Born and raised in Starbuck, Ronning continues to include singing as one of her main interests. She sang in various groups while a student at Minnewaska Area High School, and continued singing in choirs at Concordia College, Moorhead. She was also the lead vocalist for Concordia's summer campus ministry team that traveled through the Upper Midwest. She works as a mental health case manager for an agency in Fargo that works with adults and children with developmental disabilities. She's also employed with the Fargo Entertainment Company that performs mystery dinner theater shows, and has performed in community theater musicals.

Special Delivery

Special Delivery made its debut nine years ago delivering singing Valentine greetings to unsuspecting men across Kandiyohi County. Three of the four original singers continue to sing in the quartet, including Amy Swanson (bass), Cheryl Johnson (tenor) and Deb Van Buren (baritone). Karen Lindquist is the newest member and sings lead. Special Delivery continues to make "special deliveries" singing valentines in conjunction with community not-for-profit organizations. They also perform at a variety of events and programs throughout the year.

Kingery Family

Mike and Chris Kingery and their family from Grove City bring you bluegrass gospel music. The Kingerys have eight children and also a new son-in-law. While picking and fiddling they will share with you their love of music. And with their family harmonies they share the good news of Jesus Christ. Whether it's gospel, patriotic or instrumental, you will have "a toe-tapping, encouraging family time."

Custom Made

Steve and Kris are Custom Made, customizing their music to fit every mood, or every event. As a band, they have opened and shared the stage with performers which include, Ronnie Milsap, Loretta Lynn, Martina McBride, Mel Tillis, Sawyer Brown and many others. They have performed for countless benefits and venues in the past five years, donating much of their proceeds to Relay for Life and the Mayo clinic cancer research.

Willmar High School 2701

"2701" from Willmar High School is a select auditioned ensemble. It is comprised of juniors and seniors. Each holiday season the ensemble entertains the community through caroling and concerts. In the second half of the year the ensemble turns toward jazz literature. They will be performing at 2AA contest and concerts at Willmar High School. The ensemble is directed by Neal Haugen.

West Central Connection Chorus

West Central Connection Chorus was formed in 1993 by a merger of the Montevideo Fiesta City Chorus and the Kandi-O-Hi-Lo Chorus of Willmar. The chorus membership comes from many communities, making the group truly a regional chorus. Members are from Willmar, Montevideo, Atwater, Spicer, Renville, Litchfield, Milan, Marshall, Echo, Wood Lake, St. Cloud, Sartell, Hutchinson, Grove City, Benson, Granite Falls, Kerkhoven, Sunburg and New London. There are three non-singing retired members.

The chorus is always looking for more men to join in the fun of singing. Chapter rehearsals are at the Willmar Community Center from 7 to 9:30 p.m. every Monday. Interested men are encouraged to join; having an interest in music is the only skill necessary.
