'Hello, Dolly!' starts tonight at the Barn Theatre

The first weekend of the Barn Theatre production of "Hello, Dolly!" opens at 7:30 p.m. tonight through Saturday with a 2:30 p.m. matinee Sunday.

Additional shows are 7:30 p.m. April 7-9 and April 14-16 with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on April 10. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students 18 and under and are available at the box office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

"Hello, Dolly!" is the story of Mrs. Dolly Levi, played by Nicki Dyston, and her efforts to marry Horace Vandergelder, played by Tim Ostby, and send his money circulating among the people like rainwater the way her late husband Ephraim taught her. Along the way she succeeds in matching up a host of delightful characters. The show is set in New York City in the 1890s.

The other members of the cast are Kelly Zuidema, Bruce Melchert, Mary Goulson, Mitch Clark, Ben Watson, Jessica Fox, Leslie Lykins, Peggy Lister, James Statz, Charlie Oakes, John Heath, Alex Burdorf, Britta Gomulak Ditlefsen, Daria Harbisch, Tori Raths, Claire Richter, Hank Ahrenholz, Margene Landin and Dan Lister

The show is directed by Connie Heath with assistant director John Heath. The technical director is Carol Olson and the assistant technical director is Hill Vargas.

The choreographer is Nici Ahrenholz, Becky Sorenson is the stage manager and Tom Just is the lightboard operator.

Costumes are by Joanne Meierhofer, Carol Parker, Barb Martins Schneider and Sharon Erickson.

Handling props were Connie Feig, Robin Spencer, Cathy Pregler, Cheri Buzzeo, Peggy Lister and Bruce Melchert,

Set construction was by Carol Olson, Hill Vargas, Steve Frank, Kris Deleon, Gonzalo Sonora, Mike Dockman, Dan Schell, Sharon Mount, Dan Olson and Connie Heath,

The music director is Sara Miller and the orchestra director is Dennis Benson.

Marcia Overton was the interim rehearsal pianist.
