WILLMAR -- Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee! will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday with the juried artist tents lining Becker Avenue in downtown Willmar. The "emerging artist" tent will feature seven students identified by their art teachers as promising artists.

The "Java Jam" on the street-corner stage will have Monroe Crossing as the headliner performing twice during the day. There will be demonstrations and hands-on activities for kids and adults on the courthouse lawn.

The event is a chance for artists and the public to mingle, shop and experience the many faces of art, from photography, handmade jewelry and pottery to music and food.

Organizers have stuck with a familiar formula -- a blend of art exhibits, sales and outdoor entertainment -- that over the years has helped turn Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee! into one of the region's largest and most successful arts events.

In case of bad weather, all outdoor stage, art demonstrations and artist tents will be at Kennedy Elementary School, 824 Seventh St. S.W., Willmar.
