WILLMAR — The Diamond Edge figure skaters will present “Lights, Camera, Skate!” at 7 p.m. Saturday and at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Willmar Civic Center.

More than 65 area skaters will perform to music from classic and current movies. The student skaters range in age from 4 through 18, with a group of skating dads taking the ice for fun.

The guest skater is Christina Gao from Cincinnati, Ohio. After the 2011-12 season, Gao moved to Boston to train with Mark Mitchell and Peter Johansson at the Boston Skating Club. She is also a full-time student at Harvard University. Gao finished fifth in the 2013 U.S. Championships and fourth in the 2013 Four Continents meet. She is aiming for World Championship and Olympic berths.

In competition this year, Gao has been skating her short program to “Close Without Touching” by Kostia and her free program to “Libertango” by Astor Piazzolla.

Two Diamond Edge figure skater members will also be skating solos in the show. Holly Kidrowski, a junior at Willmar High School, will skate to a medley of songs from August Rush. Sydney Fischer, a sophomore at Willmar Senior High, will skate to “The Heat is on in Saigon” from Miss Saigon.

Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for ages 4 to 17; tickets at the door will be $12 and $7. Advance tickets are available at Cub Foods or Cash Wise Foods in Willmar and from Diamond Edge skaters. Ages 3 and under will be admitted free.
