WILLMAR — The Hayloft Players children’s theater presents “The Grunch” at 7:30 p.m. tonight through Saturday at The Barn Theatre in Willmar.

The musical was inspired by “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.”

“The Grunch” tells the story of Rudy Grunch, played by Adam Schiller, a grumpy 6th grader who always feels like an outsider.

When the entire school gets excited about the annual school musical, he comes up with a perfect plan to ruin it for everyone; he’ll steal the sets, costumes and lights the night before it opens.

But will the spirit of theater prevail?

Other members of the cast are Abigail Thompson, Ali Eckhoff, Alicia Hernandez, Ana Hernandez, Annie Schaefbauer, Braeden Fagerlie, Cecilia Hernandez, Eleanor Schmitz, Emma Villnow, Erin Dresler, Isaac Larson, Kennedy Mara, Kessa Mara, Mara Lambert, Noah Eckhoff, Savana Eckhoff, Selah Larson and Sonja Madsen.

Tickets are $5 and are available at the door.

The Barn Theatre is at 321 Fourth St. S.W. in downtown Willmar.
