WILLMAR — On display at the Willmar Public Library this month are early “Star Wars” collectibles provided by Ron Adams.

The Willmar artist credits his late wife, Linda Cogelow, for picking up many of the original toys, sometimes competing with other collectors at area rummage sales to be first on the scene.

Their daughter, Jamie Patterson, also a collector, contributed the case of miniatures. The books are from the library’s collection.

Adams said many of the toys were made by Kenner.

“I really don’t think I have anything of great value. I don’t have the original boxes which real collectors look for,” he said.

The display is open for viewing during libary hours throughout the month of January.

The library is located at 410 Fifth St. S.W. in downtown Willmar.
