Ridgewater's dramatic comedy 'Middletown' opens tonight on Willmar campus

WILLMAR — Ridgewater College presents “Middletown” at 7:30 p.m. today through Saturday at the Willmar campus theater.

The dramatic comedy by Will Eno explores the universe of a small American town.

As a friendship develops between longtime resident John Dodge, played by Jakson Martens, and new arrival Mary Swanson, played by Paige Bajari, the lives of the inhabitants of Middletown intersect in strange and poignant ways.

Matt Haycraft, left, is a police officer, and Anton Switajewski is a mechanic in the small town of Middletown.

Rounding out the rest of the cast are Anton Switajewski, Matt Haycraft, Cameron Stennes, Betsy Davis, Josiah Olson, Emily Walz, Trustin Ziemer, Alex Woytcke, Tory Hald, Mackenzie Ellis, Alice Lindgren, Adrian Laage, Jonathan Pierskalla, Nate Lundstrum, Zach Plumley and Theresa Skaalerud.

The production is being directed by Matt Hegdahl.

“Middletown” contains adult situations and language, and thus may not be suitable for all ages.
