“Adventure Unknown,” the moving story about Spicer’s national wakeboard champion, Alexa Score, who grew up on Green Lake and won the national women’s amateur wakeboard title in 2010, airs Sunday on Pioneer Public TV.
The documentary traces Score’s journey from an athletic and daring young girl to her emergence as a national competitor on the wakeboard circuit.
Since first airing on May 22, the half-hour documentary has been shared hundreds of times and garnered nearly 30,000 views on Facebook and Youtube.
It can also be viewed at pioneer.org/postcards.
Also featured will be Moorhead native filmmaker Mike Scholtz and his recently released film “Lost Conquest” — a comedic documentary which sorts out the myths from the facts regarding the Viking runestone and the idea that the Vikings came to Minnesota 1,000 years ago.
According to reviews, “Lost Conquest” is a fun and lighthearted film that takes a region specific history and organizes it in an entertaining fashion.
This is the final episode of the seventh season of the award-winning weekly regional art, culture and history program, produced by Willmar area native Dana Johnson.
