MARSHALL — State Representative Marty Seifert, Republican of Marshall, will launch his anticipated campaign for governor on Tuesday at the Micro Control manufacturing facility in Fridley.
Seifert’s campaign released the itinerary for a state-wide tour to announce his candidacy on Wednesday.
Seifert, of Marshall, made known his interest in running as a Republican candidate for governor shortly after Gov. Tim Pawlenty announced he would not seek a third term. Seifert stepped down as the minority party leader in the state house of representatives and opened two web sites devoted to his gubernatorial run.
Seifert has represented the Marshall area in the house since 1996 and is serving in his seventh term.
His campaign will start with the morning announcement in Fridley and trips to Mankato and Rochester on Tuesday. He will stump much of the state before winding up his four-day tour on Friday with visits to Marshall, Worthington and New Ulm.

Just make sure that if he gets elected that you all vote the way he wants you to vote or he may take your committee assignments away from you and who knows what else if you tick him off. Is this really the guy we need to make decisions for the state of Minnesota. Maybe we need someone as little more level headed and not so quick to show his anger and temper.Report a Violation
