Johnson is the daughter of Daryl and Karen Johnson of Mayville.
She is a graduate of May-Port CG High School in Mayville and a graduate in ministry from Northwestern Bible in Minneapolis. She is employed by REM South Central Service and the YMCA in Willmar.
Nelson is the son of Vicky Nelson and Lindsay Nelson of Willmar.
He is a graduate of Willmar Senior High School and a graduate of Minnesota State University-Moorhead with a degree in exercise science. He is pursuing a nursing degree at Ridgewater College in Willmar. He is employed by Bethesda Nursing Home and works in landscaping.
