Suter is the daughter of John and Lynn Suter of Murdock.
She is a 2002 graduate of Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg High School in Kerkhoven and a 2006 graduate of Minnesota State University-Moorhead with a degree in English education. She is employed by Kennedy Community School in St. Joseph as a seventh- and eighth-grade English teacher.
Maurer is the son of the late John and the late Mary Maurer.
He is a 2000 graduate of Foley High School in Foley and a 2003 graduate of St. John’s University in Collegeville with a degree in accounting. He is employed by Gold’n Plump in Sauk Rapids as a cost analyst accountant.
