Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church in Hector. Interment will be in the Hector City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Hughes Funeral Home in Hector and for one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
Delwood was born May 24, 1925, in Minneapolis to Raymond and Beatha (Christianson) Wolff. He was baptized at the family home on Feb. 5, 1926. At the age of 2, he moved with his family to his grandfather’s farm in Melville Township, rural Hector. Delwood was a 1943 graduate of Hector High School, and was confirmed as an adult at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bird Island.
He married Joyce Elliot on Aug. 15, 1948, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sacred Heart. They resided and farmed in Melville Township until they retired in 1989 and later moved into Hector.
Delwood was a member of First Lutheran Church in Hector. For 30 years he was a board member of the Farmers Co-op Exchange in Hector. Besides his family and farming, Delwood enjoyed spending time with his friends and collecting cars and tractors.
Delwood is survived by his wife, Joyce, of Hector; children, Leslie and Geraldine Wolff of Hector, Pamela Kienholz of Hector, and Carla and Keith Klawitter of Morgan; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and siblings, Douglas and Mary Wolff of Republic, Mo., and Ramona and Eugene Kretchmer of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by a grandson-in-law, Joseph Fischer.
