Oops. I keep saying sorry today Steve. I typed the last entry a long time ago. I just finished visiting with a friend, hit send comment and then checked if anyone was still tuned in. Sorry, Steve. I'm checking out. It's getting late and I work tomorrow. Good night all!

Steve - Sorry missed your previous entry. I will watch the city council meeting again. At the time when five of the invited guests spoke, I was interupted by unexpected guests, the telephone ringing and trying to eat supper with my family. So, I may not have heard it clearly. If I'm mistaken my sincere apologies Steve GGGGGGGGG.

I did catch parts of it earlier and am watching it now as I type. As for my insights on it, I think it is just plain sad what is happening plain sad. The mayor should have been more consistant in how he handled the meeting, and both Mr. Christianson and Mr. Gardner need to work on keeping their emotions in check. I do commend Reese for speaking up for Christianson's right to make his statement, and I think everyone should commend Anderson, Gardner and Reese for staying at the meeting and not walking out, as that would have killed the discussion that was brought up and caused more problems in the end. I hope for everyone that calmer heads can prevail and the bitterness that is happening can subside. Thank you Marie for not refering to me with a G for my last name.

Steve - Why rehash things we've discussed over & over again? How about giving us your insight into last night's city council meeting. Did you watch it on WRAC-8 yet?

Marie I am sorry but you have forced this. You continue to mislead and lie. For the last time my last name is NOT Gardner! Would you please stop lying by suggesting that it is by typing a G after my name! You are also lying about the man who just moved here I have watched the replay of the proceedings and you are flat out lying about this man! He said that he has recently moved here and that he has a job at Jenny-O and is looking for more steady work, he never said that he was not working. Why are you lying and misleading people on this topic? You want to pin last nights actions on Westwinds on the Mayor and Mr. Gardner, again this is a flat out lie! Neither men proposed the motion that caused the turmoil last night, it was made by Mr Christianson and seconded by Ms. Swenson just like every motion against Westwind has gone recently. Will you please stop misleading and please stop trying suggest that my name is Steven G! This is what my hometown has turned into? Misleading, lying and mudslinging! Just stop it already will you!

I agree with many of you on the Board that indicate that there are many homes in Willmar that need to have rehab. However, many of them are not feasible to purchase and rehab. I just hope that last nights actions (obviously preplanned) to overturn the previous acceptance of the Small Cities grant for Westwinds doesn't hurt future funding applications for the City of Willmar to rehab homes, businesses, etc. in the future. Shelly, I believe you would have been an ideal person for a unit at Westwinds. Marie H, you indicated that Maria Diaz is an HRA employee - actually she is on the HRA Board and as a resident of Willmar has been at many of the City Council meetings over the past several months. I still don't understand how Council Member Christianson can change his vote on a West Winds issue to abstain because of a conflict of interest last fall and then turn around a couple months later and NOT have a conflict of interest from there on??

I was very disappointed on how the Mayor and Gardner handled themselves at last night's meeting. They both acted extremely childish!! Time to vote the Mayor and Gardner out of office.
