Carly, Good Lord get off Heitke and Gardners back too then! Everyone knows that they are not receiving anything for their votes (though some on here have tried to suggest otherwise, and that they care about Willmar and others as well. Thanks though for at least supporting my position that Ron Christianson DID in fact bring up the issue of the Muslim faith. Will you also acknowledge that he would not allow for discussion to take place on this topic too?

And Good Lord...get of Ron Christianson's back. Everyone knows what "low-income" house usually equals. And that is not a racist remark...just a factual one!!!!!! And his "suggestion" of race/religion was just to clarify the fact that this project was going to be direct toward those of Muslim faith. I don't think he should be criticized for clarifying a fact. And you mock him as "Saint Christianson". I happen to know FOR A FACT that he and his company have helped a local family in need - free of charge mind you - clean up a toxic situation so the family can move back in to their home. Yes, I would call him a saint!!!

I believe that both Fagerlie and Anderson have voted both in support and in opposition to this matter. At least through the reading that I have looked at on the city website. Christianson himself abstained, then began voting again on the matter.

Got a solution...let's build this project right next door to Heitke's home...or Gardner's home. Maybe then they would see the light. If there are homes already in his neighborhood...too bad...take 'em down. Because, we don't really care about those who already own homes in Willmar anyway...do we!!! Or here's another idea...why not use money to fix up existing homes in Willmar that could be considered low-income housing. Why must we risk ruining a good neighborhood? Why leave all these delapitated houses in ruin just to build a new complex for low-income housing. It seems like a waste all the way around. How in the heck is that good for Willmar???????

Dan J. You are welcome to speak at the open forum, and confront councilman Anderson. But no, you'd rather tell half truths or blatant lies like you did on the Shelter House. Why should anyone trust or believe anything you say?

Beth I stated that Christianson "suggested" not that he said the race/religion words specificly. I take that back he DID say "targeting a certain religion". Come on Beth do you consider all of us in Willmar stupid? We all know what he was saying, and had he allowed questions to be asked of him he would have stated it himself. Christianson is forcing others to say the words that he will only "suggest" at, so that he can turn around and accuse others of playing the race and religion card. I'm sorry but your Saint Christianson is guilty of allowing the "suggestion" of race/religion to enter this discussion.

It is more than likely not the correct procedure or in the city charter, but how about a city wide vote on this issue? It seems that Willmar truely is a "Railroad city" if you get my drift.

Brian, It's not about staying at the meeting when things aren't going their way. It's about stopping a bad project that the other four council members can't see is bad because they choose to be puppets of the Mayor instead.

If we're going to talk about conflicts of interest then we should consider Councilman Anderson. Is he representing the citizens of willmar or the interests of Jennie-O and the importing of low income welfare dependent employees?

At least they stay at the meeting when things aren't going their way.
