I would think that a LARGE HEADLINE in the West Central Tribune (that I personally read) would be enough proof!!!

Jay if you are so interested in helping us, you may send a check if you wish. I'm not asking for it. I won't ask anyone for money. I would rather try to handle my financial situation myself if at all possible is all I'm saying.

Beth and Jake before you go any further with the personal attack on the Mayor, do either of you have the proof that he was fired? Jake you have said that you "heard" that he was. Besides what do you hope to gain from bringing this up anyway? And Beth, Les Heitke is a highly respected counselor, the Diocese of New Ulm recognize him as one and recommends him in many of their publications. He is also gainfully employed as a Counselor. And since you researched Beth, did the City Council get a raise too? How about were they offered the chance to take part in the City Health Insurance?

So Nicole, you've never received any help whatsoever. Not with school, finances, bills, loans, favors, job, personal, emotional, spiritual, etc. No help from family, parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, neighbors, church members. You don't receive help and you don't give help. Everybody is just on their own. An island unto themselves. Not the kind of world I want to live in, but hey, if that's your thing, go for it.

Jay C-- I have FAITH that in the middle of your neighbor having a loud drinking party, or a domestic, or gunshots or whatever. They will not serve YOU, help YOU, live for YOU, or give a crap about YOU!!! You can not teach an old dog new tricks. Putting someone in a new house in a beautiful neighbothood does not change anything.

Jake, It's ironic that you bring up the Mayor's firing because I did some more research and found out that it wasn't long after the Mayor was fired that the Mayor's position got a raise. At the same time the Mayor was allowed to be on the City's Insurance program!! I found this to be a little fishy. It has been ever since the Mayor lost his job that he has started lashing out at members of the council and calling them names.

We struggle to pay our mortgage, buy groceries, pay the doctor bills for our family, but we do it. Is there much money left over? No. So, for all that want to help the poor, you can send us a check directly. Will anyone actually do that? No. So seriously, we manage to do it on our own, as do many others in this town, state, country, yada yada yada. We all have to learn to stand on our own feet, as Shannon has pointed out already.
