It seems like the State payroll is the last to get tightened up, no reason everyone can't share the recession, better than losing your job all together. Most state employees have way more vacation and comp time than the average worker so shouldn't hurt them too bad. Welcome to the real world.

What do you say we furlough Pawlenty, so he and his buddy Normy, can leave the state, and NEVER come back.

The two MNSCU faculty unions have already offered to freeze wages for the next two years, and MNSCU had to think about it before accepting. So at least one large group of state employees has been proactive in helping out.
