Ciji F., what does working in your own fields have to do with this? Are you saying that only the corporate farmers are at risk of exposure when people from a high risk area go to a new area? Let me count the ways, shopping, schools, restaurants, walking in public, bus rides, movies, celebrations.

I am tired of everything being lightly danced around so not to offend somebody. It is ignorant for this article to say that the concern in our area about people coming here has anything to do with their national heritage because it is not. It is the area that the people are coming from. Had this happened before spring break, we would be just as concerned about those returning to our communities. I am concerned about any large population of any people coming here from an area that is in an emergency situation and it doesn't matter what heritage they are.... Now, what is going to be done to minimize the spread of this illness with a large number of people coming from a high risk area? Fifty years ago, high risk people would have been kept away from the general population until it was shown they were healthy. Why is it different today? Hong Kong put everybody that was in a general area of an infected person into lock down. Why? To isolate the illness and contain it. Every time a person has surgery, they are isolated and germs are contained away from them, why should this be any different?
