No one is concerned that, should Mrs. Palin be elected President, she won't "hear a calling" somewhere else, or have all the negative press she can take, or whatever... and decide that she's done, finsihed, she quits as President?? She didn't complete her term as Governor - why would she complete a term as President? Commitment to the job is kind of a priority, isn't it?

Terry I don't have hatred towards Bush, I just believe he was a failure, and didn't listen to the problems at hand. He ignored the warning signs, was in bed with big oil, and banks, and forgot about those who elected him to power, the little guy. My problem is with the far right making excuses for him with misleading and ignorant comments. The problem was only made worst when some of you judged Obama before his first 90 days in office was done. Terry as usual you are just as off base as Larry, and Harold with your beliefs. When you have Rush in common as some of you do, its no wonder you don't have your stories correct. Harold if you thought you could date Hillary Clinton you would be at the white house with your bags in hand! Mike S at least I have a voice and I am not afraid to say what I believe is the truth, instead of being someone like you who hides in your basement taking pot shots at me. To tell you the truth Mike I have never been bitter life is too short, and I am certainly not going to lose any sleep over politics as some of you do.

I personally hope she gets the nomination to run as the Republican candidate for President. That will make President Obama a shoo in for another 4 years as our President.

Nothing like turning your back on the people who got you your start in politics midway through the job to further your own career. I just don't get her sometimes.....or all the time....

Just to clean things up, here in the sandbox......I was responding to some knot-head who challenged us all, about whether we heard her speech, regarding resigning. I had heard it, and was using analogies to describe the rambling incoherence that I witnessed. Hey, Bob K: next time I need my transmission worked on by some dirt-ball greasemonkeys, I'll swing over to Hopkins. Maybe we can have a beer at the Tavern on Main!

Larry the experience Bush had when he took office didn't seem to do him a lick of good. Had he thought more on dads lines, maybe we wouldn't still be fighting in the middle east, and our economy would not be wrecked. So much for your logic Larry, it doesn't stand up to theory and its another one of your contradictions as well as a crutch your using to try and prove a point. Palin might have been the governor of Alaska population 680,000, I could have been a governor there and probably have done a good job as well that doesn't mean I would be VP material! Larry she was no where near being VP material, because she lacked a basic knowledge of her own parties politics. Her husband seemed to be more in charge then she was. Read the article over her troubles involving her brother-in-law. Palin also failed to listen to McCain's campaign staffers and she kept up negative attacks on Obama, which added to the downfall of the McCain camp. Now Palin is all about political gain, and feels being governor of Alaska is holding her back, she needs to broaden her back ground., and more power to her, but don't try and convince us Larry that she was ready to be a VP. She was used as a pawn to counter the Democrats who had a well rounded Hillary who could be a front runner for the party in 2012, which gave the party somewhat of an edge.

Harold you don't think that your party favorite of moral crusaders didn't do the same thing? The difference Harold was your party used whatever their lawyers could find to try and black ball Obama in public with malicious, and desperate measures to win the election at any cost, even if you have to embellish, and lie to reach the golden prize, right Harold? Whatever Obama may have found he didn't use them against Palin, he stuck to the issues which seem to have escaped your closed mind. The media was the ones who got a hold of Palins political problems. Your logic escapes me Harold, because we could easily say Clinton owned the media, but it didn't stop his dirty secrets he was hiding from being made public. .Also the recession you spoke about during the Clinton era was actually at the end of Bush seniors era, when he went against his famous saying "read my lips no more taxes" that he needed to raise to pay for the war, which is why he didn't get re-elected. The Gulf war was about protecting our interests and keeping Saddam from seizing more power in the Middle East. Bush Sr was somewhat smarter then his son, because he knew going into Iraq to topple Saddam would come at a very high price, which was very smart on his part, and he listened to those who knew the real score! I get my information from the history channel as well as Google Harold, and it just so happened they were talking about all of our presidents last night, which were the good and bad with both parties leaders. Oh wait, I know what your going to say, the History channel is a liberal channel, funded by Obama and the Democrats.

For 8 years our cup definitely runneth over with bushisms, Larry. I guess you're just going to have to figure out how to choke down the next four (at least) years. I just don't happen to think that Palin is the spoonful of sugar we all need.
