Terry D, I listened to her speech. The whole thing. Reminded me of sitting with my mother, who has stage 3 Alzheimer's. Rambling, incoherant. The basketball analogies, the dead fish.....what? And what about all of you bible-heads, with her using the phrase "Hell, yeah!"? She has no national candidate potential. Zero.

Marilyn G I agree with you when you stated the money should have went to us, I can't argue with that, one bit! Obama gave in to the right who did complain about giving the stimulus directly to us, they didn't want a stimulus period. We could have all received 300 thousand and the money would have to pay off bills such as homes, or autos, or could be used for home improvements. Terry its funny how the auto makers and banks still wanted government bailout, and Obama told them you that why is it when you don't have confidence in my decisions, would you want the government to give you money" Well said if you ask me, so Terry where ever you are getting your argument from, its far fetched. The banks and automakers came to Bush then Obama, they didn't come to them, something you should remember before firing off the far right rubbish. Some of the banks returned 68 billion dollars to the government, something you forgot to mention in your far right speech! Do you think its only liberals who are complaining about our health care? You are badly mistaken there as well Terry, because a hand full of far right on this site have strong opinions doesn't mean it constitutes the feelings of the general public. Some conservatives have businesses or are making good money as well as liberals, which is fine, but don't make your assumptions based you, or your buddies situation. No one is losing their freedoms it all boils don't to bad management and the upper executives giving themselves huge pay increases even when they borrowed from the government so what is your point Terry? Your getting as bad as Larry!

Brian - when you come in here, all "Mr. Voice of Reason", you know you take all the fun out of it... ;) -- Sorry you're working today. Off in time to take in some fireworks somewhere, perhaps?

Terry - you show me where I, once, offered up judgement of how Palin performed her job as Governor. I said nothing of her JOB as Governor of Alaska - I'll leave that for those who live there to judge the merits of her accomplishments. I simply offered an opinion about her ability to be President of the US, and an opinion about her ability to present herself successfully, in a manner that allows her to be taken seriously, to the national media. If Alaska feels well-served by Governor Palin, then I am glad... and then I am disappointed on their behalf, because their shining star threw in the towel. Ok- Governor Palin rocks - but President Palin? She's not ready. Not even close.

Bush often used typed notes (watch his hands... see?... notes!)... which he often mixed up, or lost his place on... or just ignored and winged it anyway. If Bush could have memorized a speech, maybe there wouldn't be bookfulls of "Bushisms" for our amusement. (I suspect there's a reason Bush didn't write his own speeches... but, I digress...) Just because there are words scrolling across a teleprompter, doesn't mean the speech isn't "real". Are you really going to judge the man's ability to perform his job on the fact that he reads words outloud from a screen? Who cares?

I can see by a lot of the comments how Obama and Frankin got in! I think Palin could do much better than all the so called "experts" comments here. I agree with Terry D. I don't think we need to worry about the next ones to "get in" as there won't be anyone running as there is no one that in their right mind that would even try to fix all the damage done by the ones in right now. Instead of the banks etc that got all the money, if they had given it to the people everyone in the U .S. could have received $100,000. Instead of having to payoff all the debt we are going to have because of some one that is so in a hurry to "fix" everything in the first 100 days that they do before they think it out! Its time EVERYONE starts living within their means and that means not having everything we want, but having just what we need.
