Seems to me that when the Westwind "Project" was in "question" in the public eye, that it was Mr. Christianson who tried to keep things on an even playing field, but remember how the Mayor acted by throwing his "tantrums" and talking down to Mr. Christianson!? I know that the Mayor has never apologized to Mr. Christianson or any of the other council members that he offended or the citizens of Ward 2 who came to those meetings to voice their opionions and were talked down too also! Thanks Ron for keeping tab on those "two" and keep on doing the job we voted you to do! Remember Mayor, "What goes around, come around!"

It's a good thing that the council members ask questions to keep check and balance on how things are done. Looking at the poll results - others think so too.

I am concerned about how the whole situation started. The selection of a replacement charter commission member should come from: 1: The City Council, 2. The Charter Commission, 3. By petition. Citizens of Willmar should be concerned that on the City Council Meeting Agenda item #11 reads: Charter Commission Member Appointment - Verna Kelly. Now if this is supposed to be done by the 3 ways listed above then SOMEONE messed up. I would then ask the question who is running this City? Is it our elected officials or is it our tax payer paid staff. Our City Council members needs to ask questions and be informed..........before items are listed on the agenda.

Those who want to complain about the council members, should throw their hat in the ring next election.

Willmar can join Brainerd with City Council members that do not have a clue.

Such a waste of space in your already over-priced newspaper. Now, who's blowing things way out of proportion? Procedural processes that should have been done simply were not. I'd be concerned about this too. Sounds like Ron attempted to make things right - how about the Mayor and his responses?

The editorial is right on track. Councilmen Christianson needs to calm down and let staff do their job. Mr. Christianson you owe the council and staff an apology for the way you conducted yourself!

If there was such an urgent need to replace a position on the charter commission, as stated in your editorial, why wasn't the council informed about this ahead of time..by E-mail or etc....I think you have missed the point... the process is what concerned some of the council members...what about the mayor's behavior in handling himself on camera ? I don't hear any mention of that...Sounds like a pretty biased article...
