gary i., at least she made an effective case for having it removed which the Senate Committee did. You effectiveness is just to post meaningless simplistic remarks.

After listening to the speech today from Colorado and hearing the phrase being repeated " I won't pull the plug on grandma", I started laughing. During the early part of his campaign, during the discussion of race, he threw her under the bus.

bob d. Watertown, SD 08/15/2009 12:32 PM Rush and Palin listeners/groupies are the people who prefer watching the freak show at the circus, over the three-ring acts under the big top. Sorry, bob d, we won't pay to see you., three-ring acts - that's a maybe.

"The Dems are so afraid of Palin they must try to discredit her. That is their typical MO." No, Larry, I think Sarah Palin does that just fine all on her own.

Lynn - the lies Bush told don't matter anymore? You mean like the "Iraq has WMDs" lie? It doesn't matter anymore? Then why the $#&& are our soldiers still dying for his $&%^*#& lie? Do they not matter to you either? That was one of the worst comments you have ever come up with.

One has to take a look at the SIG's who have climbed on board in support. So AARP is wishy washy in their statements of whether they support it or not at this time, they are anticipating a very unique audience they can go after with their enrollment of Medicare supplementary enrollees thru UHC(might add for which AARP gets a cut of the premium). Some 78 million people(baby boomers) will soon become elgible for the need of supplementary plans(see premiums rise on those plans). AMA - why should they not? Look at all the increased in amount and additional fees they will be able to bill for( more profits and more income - "free" money , why not?) Hospitals and clinics - increased patients coming thru(don't know if we have enough doctors) but will increase market need of nurse practitioners who will probably see most of the run of the mill initial cases. Doctors will see the more serious, troubling cases. Which will probably kabosh the claim of seeing "your" own or choice of doctor. PHRMA will probably see more selective drug pricing(caveat here is advertising for the need of a drug to make you well, etc.) and might go into selective drug of choice(stiffle competition?). The SIG's will always try to convince you of the "good" things that might happen but will never tell you the bad things they have in mind or will happen. JMHO.

Craig H. posted : "You know.. "the economy is great", we'll prosecute whoever the leak of a CIA person was.. and so on." I believe "the economy is great" comment - you blamed McCain for (after taking it out of context leaving off the basic fundamentals are sound - which after several months later, Obama said the same thing). As far as the CIA leak, I believe a person by the name of Richard Armitage stepped forward as the person who gave out the information - but at the time you had such a crush on destroying Bush and those who surrounded him, you did not want to hear it or do anything about it.
