I would guess most of the decision makers have not even been to the Care Center. If they had they would have changed thing long ago. The nursing staff is in a room no bigger than most closets. Most rooms are doubled up and they share one bathroom between two rooms. The good thing is you get all this for 3,500 to 6,500 per month. The staff is great and they make it work. Thanks goes out to them.

Sooner, rather than later, is in order for renovating Rice Care Center. Unbelievable just how outdated and institutionalized that place is. I feel sorry for anyone living there, with suites that house two people each, sharing a bathroom in between. Closely resembles what old hospital rooms used to look like. Not being "home like" is the understatement of the year. I say if the hospital can't afford to do something about such a pathetic place, then they should sell it to someone who can afford to renovate or rebuild. It's a travesty to anyone with the misfortune of living there.
