I can see why the conservatives want to retranslate the bible. It sounds way too tolerant.

Like this is really something we need to complain about. Gosh, we must have it so hard in this country. Maybe we need to take a little bit of time and think about how hard we really have it here. Are we starving? Are we being shot at? Do we have to worry about AIDS? Do we have to worry where we are going to sleep at night? I think we need to take the day to think about how good we have it in the world today. Does everybody really have to play the blame game every single day? I mean really, do you? It is unbelievable how people treat each other on here. I mean every day we find one article about some little thing on politics and we start blaming others. I am sick of it. I guess that is how us Americans act these days isn't it? I feel ashamed. Grow up and find something more constructive to do. Spend some time with your family, reach out to people who need help, or do many other things that don't involve throwing ill words towards each other. Please, just grow up and enjoy how good you have it compared to other people in this world.

But when we allow the Holy Spirit to control us, He will produce in us the fruit of our salvation, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Ah... love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and SELF-CONTROL... not very much of that happening this morning. Sounds like all of these Christians are very hateful, upset, condeming, irritated, irate and well the list just goes on. I'm sure God is keeping a tally on all sins.

The Bible tells us to be content with what we have, for God will never fail or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). hmmm... I think this tells me that I should be content with what I have... for instance, my President because God wouldn't steer us in the wrong direction by allowing someone bad to become President.

Addison-how do you know what political party I belong to/identify with? Also, I didn't say anything bad about President Bush, so please don't saddle me with other people's transgressions. Last, I have the same rights as you to express my opinion on these message boards. I'm not telling you what to do, I'm expressing my opinion. I welcome debate. If we didn't debate the issues, the Constitution wouldn't mean much. Notice I said "the issues" not personalities. That was the point I was trying to make. If you can't stand the heat honey....

When we use the word “jealous,” we use it in a sense of being envious of someone who has something we do not have. This kind of jealousy is a sin and is not characteristic of a Christian; rather, it shows that we are still being controlled by our own desires (1 Corinthians 3:3). I'm on a roll now! Woo Hoo! I'm on fire!
