Hummm, two weeks, well, God accomplish a lot more than that in just one week! But Obama is but mortal so it took him two. Maybe he is more than a mortal man as his handlers & ego continually implies. But hey, those guys over there in Norway must know what they're doing, after all they gave the award to Yasser Arafat didn't they?!!!!! What a world - what a country!

Harold, the nomination had to be in by February 1, 2009, but the decision on who wins it, out of all that were nominated, took place last night.... I do agree with those that say it is too soon to know where he is actually going. It is an honor for our country to have our new president as the winner. These words that he says, that many of you don't, must mean a lot to others for him to win.... Maybe his clunker program helped to give him the win??? lol

Pam, I really don't know what you are asking? ANYWAYS...It is just my opinion that it was way too soon for such an award.

Craig, I don't care about his policies or political views on this issue...I am in the middle when it comes to that. BUT for me....it is too soon for such an award to be handed out to him...

I am proud of our President Barack Obama for winning the Nobel Peace Prize and even if I don't agree with everything - I respect the office of the President of the United States of America and hope to hand that down to my children and their children. Other nations must think he is doing something right - I think we should too.

The vote took plase two weeks after he took office, so let's not go giving him 8 months worth of credit.
