Debbie, yes, you did miss something. Robert was posting very hurtful comments towards down syndrome people, on this board and another board on this site.

Unlike the other Nobel Prizes, which recognize completed scientific or literary accomplishment, the Nobel Peace Prize may be awarded to persons or organizations that are in the PROCESS of resolving a conflict or creating peace.

Sorry Addison I didn't see your previous post before posting my response. I certainly have read those that you mention as well as read far too many of Harold's rants, as well as Debbie's Hitler connection for President Obama, they are all examples of what I mean about becoming an intolerant nation. Free speech is a great thing that we have in this Country and we should fight to keep it at all cost, however we also need to show some adult restraint and general respect when it comes to debate. Sadly we have many who can't decern the difference between rhetoric and fact, and it those people who take the negative comments and take it upon themselves to act. Debbie reference Hitler, well if you look at his history you find the type of person who couldn't decern the difference previously mentioned, and believed what he had heard that Jews were responsible for the death of Christ, clearly NOT the teaching of the Christian church, for as Christians we know that Christ's death had meaning and purpose and was not a vengeful death. Are we now becoming a nation that wants to use fear to stir up debate? If we are, I have grave concerns for the outcome.
