This issue has nothing to do with immigration, it has nothing to do with illegal immigration.. it has everything to do with one guy violating the rights of citizens of this country and hiding behind anti-terrorism laws to do it. I agree illegal immigrants should be booted out as soon as they're caught but I also think the law is the law in other areas too. Racial profiling is illegal and if you're complaining about illegal immigrants breaking the law, you should be just as mad at this guy for breaking the law as well. Hypocracy will never win debates.

Nice to see the angry right is still willing to throw the constitution out the window so easily. Everyone that looks hispanic should be assumed illegal in their world. Never mind that this guy was doing it to american citizens too. The defense of this guy is ridiculous.

A bill should be sent to the country the illegal people are from for any an all benefits they recieve in this country. What part of illegal gives you the right to my tax dollars. Bill the country of origin maybe they would try and make their own country liveable .

Kevin, I voted for Obama, AND I'm against illegal immigrants- is that shocking to you that that is possible? I'm also a fan of Sherriff Joe- he has been making a hell of alot of since with how he runs his jurisdiction for a long time. Why also is it racial profiling when most of illegals are hispanic? That's not profiling- its fact. No more than saying that most crime is commited by people of color- look on ANY most wanted list by any sherriff's department in the country- shouldn't take too long to figure that out. Facts are facts and we could use a little "Sherriff Joe" spread across the entire country.

And Larry, if you were really paying attention, you'd notice that he was using anti-terrorism enforcement as a means of racial profiling hispanics as illegals. Last time I looked, none of the 9/11 hijackers were from Mexico. He's a whackjob drunk on power and you'd think most reasonable people would see that. I guess the extreme right like Larry just refuse to believe that they are the extreme ones. Soft on crime? You're the one who's soft Larry, if the criminal is white, male, and middle aged or older you're willing to let them get away with anything.

Wow, just because someone stands up for individual rights, suddenly they're soft on crime in Larry's book. Talk about not understanding the issue and getting "Glen Beck" on something. I guess by Larry's logic, we should be pulling him over every day, searching his belongings, and generally harrassing him since he fits the Oklahoma City bomber profile.

Hey Lynn stepping over the line gets people killed as well, but the Christian you are gives you the right to judge someone morally, and legally. I think you need to knee down and say five our fathers and ten hail Mary's to cleanse your soul, then at least you can start all over the following week with a clean slate.
