Bob I have said this all along, the Middle East is too unstable, too unfriendly to make any kind of long term progress. People call building a 12ft wall all around Bagdad with several entrances progress. The only way to win is bomb the place, especially Afghanistan, but we will kill innocent people. I am sick of death, and war, and I hope Obama can realize that we must employ other measures to catch Bin Ladden. Harold your former president started this mess, and pressure from senators such as McCain have continued to support it. Harold as soon as Obama would call back the troops you would be the first person on this site condemning the president because he gave up and lost us the war, so please, save the now I care attitude. As I recall you also supported this war in your many chopped up sentences. I guess if the mighty Bush was still around you would really throw in your support for the war to continue, and I have no doubt about that! HAROLD YOU ARE FOOLING NO ONE!

The Pres was in office for 19 days when he was nominated, but who cares about that. The award has been turned into a joke at this point. Americans are dying at this point for nothing. The Russins tried to win there and couldn't. Even though they had the best weapons and know how. My comment is if we are going to stay and fight then let's win. Take off the kid gloves and drop the big one on them and get it over. We can't and won't win the way they are fighting right now. It's time to not be nice and finish this.

Harold you are confused my man, it was the former president who put us in harms way by declaring war on a country that was not involved in 911. The former president acted as though he was spoiling for a war his dad did not complete, and for good reasons. His dad and the former VP stated going in Iraq would not be good, yet the former VP went against his own judgment, and backed Bush. We looked for excuses to go to war now we have it, the question remains when do we stop it? Harold its your party members who strongly believe we should not pull out, so think before you write the kind of propaganda you have been so well known for. Rush would be proud. Oh by the way Mission Accomplished and the sad part of all that was the president was wearing a fighter pilots suit. Talk about one of the more mis-leading and tragic events of this war, lying to yourself, and the American people!

Harold - President Obama did not award himself the Nobel Peace Award. And he'd been in office much longer than 8 little days when he was awarded the Nobel, by a Norwegian committee. I get that you feel a daily need to rail against our President... but, could you at least get your info straight before spouting off? That would be nice, for a change...

Define "finish their mission". There is no realistic "end" to this mission.
